About the Centre

The Ukrainian State Centre of Radio Frequencies (UCRF) is a state enterprise under the National Commission for Communications Regulation of Ukraine. The UCRF is established in accordance with the Law of Ukraine “On Radio Frequency Resource of Ukraine” of 01.06.2000 and continues the operation of the Ukrainian State Centre of Radio Frequencies and Supervision for Telecommunications, which was created in 1996.

The UCRF authorities apply to all users of the radio frequency resource of Ukraine who operate the radio electronic facilities or radiating devices within frequency bands of general use, defined by the National Table of Frequency Bands Allocation of Ukraine.

The main tasks of the UCRF are to ensure effective usage of the radio frequency resource of Ukraine in the interests of all kinds of users, create conditions for implementation and development of advanced radio technologies in Ukraine and ensure the electromagnetic compatibility of radio electronic facilities operating in the frequency bands of general use.

From 2008 the UCRF is a full member of the Radiocommunication Sector of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) and the European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI).
